Nextdoor.com
Although this community website of ours was partly developed to serve as an informative resource for both our neighborhood and our local community, there is another website that you may wish to consider joining. Nextdoor.com describes itself as, “The private social network for your neighborhood.” One can join cost-free and they provide several services that you may find useful.
This is a quote from the Nextdoor.com website
Nextdoor is the best way to stay in the know about what’s going on in your neighborhood—whether it’s finding a last-minute babysitter, learning about an upcoming block party, or hearing about a rash of car break-ins. There are so many ways our neighbors can help us, we just need an easier way to connect with them.
A couple of years ago a special “Woods at Issaquah” division of Nextdoor.com was created. In order to join you only need to provide your name, address and an email address. You’ll then receive daily, if you choose, an email with various postings made by your neighbors that could include:
- Items for sale
- Requests for recommendations for services
- Lost pets
- Babysitting services
- Various crimes that have taken place nearby
- Announcements regarding city government, i.e. important items up for consideration by the city council
- Information about events taking place both within The Woods at Issaquah and nearby
If you want to get more details on the email items then you must log in to their website.
Over 250 people from The Woods & Morgans Ridge have already signed up over the past couple of years. Perhaps you will too. Click on one of the following link if you’d like to join. Based on your address you’ll automatically become part of The Woods at Issaquah division of Nextdoor.com.
Please note that there is no affiliation between The Woods at Issaquah HOA and nextdoor.com.
